BOULDER—Veterans and people with disabilities seeking work in the Front Range will have the opportunity to speak directly with employers at a major job fair in Boulder on Tuesday, October 7. The event, co-sponsored by the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR), Workforce Boulder County, and the Colorado Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR), will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at UCAR’s Center Green campus at 3080 Center Green Drive in north Boulder.
The event will feature 30 area companies looking to fill nearly 800 positions in the areas of administration, food service, manufacturing, security, and computing (hardware and software), including supervisory positions.

“We are delighted to serve as the principal sponsor of our 5th annual job fair,” says Nancy Wade, Human Resources generalist at UCAR. “This is becoming an increasingly regional event with interest from companies across the Front Range. We are especially excited that the number of Colorado employers who will be recruiting employees has increased to 30, and that there are 800 open positions."
Representatives from a number of employers will be onsite to talk about available and upcoming positions. The employers include: AlliedBarton Security, Alpine Lumber, Ball Corporation, Bureau of Reclamation, Catamount Constructors, Inc., Doubletree by Hilton, First National Bank of Omaha, FirstBank, Hyatt Regency, Jeppesen Sanderson, National Jewish Health, Seagate, Steamboat Ski and Resort Corporation, StoneRiver Inc., University of Colorado/Boulder, URS Corporation, Winter Park Resort, and Centura Health, among others.
Staff from Workforce Boulder County and DVR will also be on hand to provide information about their programs and services.
New to this year’s job fair: coaching and mock interview sessions will be offered from 9:00-11:00 a.m.
