Students, parents, and teachers are invited to enjoy hands-on science and Halloween fun, activities, workshops, and presentations.

At 11:00 a.m., singer Laurie Demaron will give a special performance, “What Can I Do?” to raise awareness of environmental issues. This event features photography by Colorado artists John Fielder and Karl Snyder and suggests actions the public can take to help the environment.

Other activities will explore this year’s theme that “Science is Everywhere.” Perennial favorites, Colorado State University’s Little Shop of Physics, returns with a variety of hands-on experiments, while Captain Vic the Science Wizard will lead demonstrations exploring the properties of ice.

The popular NCAR Wizards will perform shows in the afternoon.

“We are going to find the fun in data,” says NCAR Wizard and UCAR education expert Tim Barnes.
