BOULDER—Learn about our planet's past, present, and future at “Climate Explorations!” during this year’s Super Science Saturday at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR). This free, family event will be held on Saturday, October 29, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at NCAR’s Mesa Lab at 1850 Table Mesa Drive in south Boulder. Students, parents, and teachers are invited to enjoy hands-on science and Halloween fun, activities, workshops, and presentations.

See and touch Ice Age fossils from the Denver Museum of Nature & Science’s Snowmass excavation exhibit. Join a virtual safari to the African Serengeti to study biomes and glaciers. Learn about one of the biggest drivers of climate on Earth–the Sun.

“This year’s theme, ‘Climate Explorations!’ offers so many opportunities for families to learn about Sun-Earth connections and what we can learn from the past about our climate,” says Laura Allen, an education and outreach specialist from the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR), which manages NCAR.
