UCAR and NCAR scientists and staff receive AGU and AMS awards
Scientists and staff at the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR) and National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) have won national awards and distinguished fellowships from the AMS and the AGU. The NCAR and UCAR awardees and fellows are: Jeffrey Anderson, Julie Demuth, Andrew Gettelman, Sarah Gibson, Neil Jacobs, Gerald Meehl, Maria Molina, Angeline Pendergrass, Valerie Sloan, and Ryan Sobash.

UCAR mourns the loss of Member Representative Thomas Meixner
On behalf of UCAR, I want to extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Thomas Meixner. We were shocked to learn that he was tragically killed yesterday at the University of Arizona (UA), where he was the head of the Department of Hydrology and Atmospheric Sciences.
